In Saturday's non-league contest, the Northview Wildcats (Sylvania, OH) volleyball squad nudged the host Steele Comets (Amherst, OH), by a margin of 3-2.
Next up, the Wildcats battle the Whitmer Panthers (Toledo, OH) in a Northern Lakes contest, on Tuesday, September 12. Northview will attempt to better on its 6-2 season record.
With the loss, Steele moves to 3-6 on the year. The Comets host Avon (Avon, OH) to battle the Eagles in a Southwestern contest on Tuesday, September 12. The Eagles go into the contest with a record of 6-0. Avon won 3-1 in their recent league contest against Midview (Grafton, OH)

AMHERST - Northview and Steele went back and forth for over 2 hours in a 5 set match where the Cats of Northview were able to pull off the reverse sweep to move to 6-2, 4-1 NLL.
Leading for Northview was the team defense with 5 players with double digit digs; Jordyn Pakulski (21), Paige LaBudda (17), Hannah Davis (16), Natalie Kerchevall (13), and Hannah Schoen (11), and 5 players with at least 1 block; Frankie Ramsdell-Washington (5), Claire Smith (4), Schoen (4), Kerchevall (2), and Tali Twigg (1). Kerchevall adds a team high 14 kills and Schoen with a team high 42 assist and 2 aces. Also leading for the offense was sophomore outside hitter, Twigg with 12 kills.
Northview returns to the court on Tuesday as they travel to Whitmer High School for their Buckeye Division match-up.
