In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Alexandria City Titans volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Herndon Hornets.

The Titans (2-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Woodson (Fairfax, VA). The Cavaliers come into the Patriot challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Woodson beat Robinson (Fairfax, VA), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Hornets meet the Langley Saxons (McLean, VA) in a Liberty challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Herndon will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Saxons come into the challenge with a 3-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Chantilly (Chantilly, VA).
