El Capitan Gauchos (Merced, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Oakdale Mustangs (Oakdale, CA), 2-0 in a non-league test.

With the win, El Capitan improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Gauchos travel to Lincoln (Stockton, CA) to face the Trojans in a non-league test on Thursday, September 12. The Trojans go into the test with a record of 5-0. Lincoln won 2-0 in their recent non-league test against West Campus (Sacramento, CA)

The Mustangs now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mountain House for a test on Thursday, September 12. Oakdale will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Kimball (Tracy, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-3.
