Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Lapeer Lightning (Lapeer, MI) and the host Midland Chemics (Midland, MI), saw Lapeer's soccer squad knock off Midland by a count of 3-0.

The Lightning (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Grand Blanc (Grand Blanc, MI). The Bobcats enter the non-league battle with a 5-1 record. In their last battle, Grand Blanc tipped Davison (Davison, MI), 6-0, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Chemics battle the Heritage Hawks (Saginaw, MI) in a Saginaw Valley battle, on Wednesday, September 11. Midland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Hawks enter the battle with a 8-3 record after their 8-0 league win over Central (Bay City, MI).
