Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Mahtomedi Zephyrs (Mahtomedi, MN) and the visiting Tartan Titans (Oakdale, MN), saw Mahtomedi's soccer squad hold off Tartan by a score of 2-1.

The Zephyrs (6-0) will now prepare for their battle against Hill-Murray (Maplewood, MN). The Pioneers enter the Class A Section 4 battle with a 1-5 record. In their last battle, Hill-Murray was edged by St. Thomas Academy (Mendota Heights, MN), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Titans confront the Simley Spartans (Inver Grove Heights, MN) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, September 11. Tartan will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 3-0 record after their 7-0 league win over St. Croix Lutheran (West St. Paul, MN).
