Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Perry County Central Commodores (Hazard, KY) and the host Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY), saw Perry County Central's soccer squad prevail over Pikeville by a count of 8-4.

The Commodores (6-3) will now prepare for their battle against South Laurel (London, KY). The Cardinals enter the non-league battle with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, South Laurel tipped Estill County (Irvine, KY), 8-1, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Panthers confront the Shelby Valley Wildcats (Pikeville, KY) in a District 57 battle, on Tuesday, September 10. Pikeville will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Wildcats enter the battle with a 0-8 record after their 8-0 non-league loss to Paintsville (Paintsville, KY).
