The Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets softball team scored 4 runs and held the visiting Colquitt County Packers to 1 in the Yellow Jackets non-league win on Monday.

The Yellow Jackets now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Coffee for a 5A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, September 10.

With the loss, Colquitt County moves to 9-6 on the season. The Packers travel to Valdosta (Valdosta, GA) to confront the Wildcats in a 6A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, September 10. The Wildcats come into the battle with a record of 2-7. Valdosta lost 14-6 in their recent non-league battle against Atkinson County (Pearson, GA)
