The Sterling Tigers overwhelmed the visiting Verden Tigers softball squad by a count of 10-2 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Tigers meet the Navajo Indians (Altus, OK) in a Class A challenge, on Tuesday, September 10. Sterling will attempt to upgrade on its 16-6 season record. The Indians go into the challenge with a 15-3 record after their 15-5 league win over Snyder (Snyder, OK).

The Tigers (5-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Calumet (Calumet, OK). The Chieftains go into the non-league challenge with a 8-12 record. In their last challenge, Calumet toppled Ninnekah (Ninnekah, OK), 21-3, in a non-league challenge.
