St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) boosters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL), 2-0 in a non-league match.
Next up, the Bruins battle the Mercer County Golden Eagles (Aledo, IL) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, September 11. St. Bede will attempt to move on its 4-5 season record. The Golden Eagles enter the match with a 5-4 record after their 2-0 league loss to Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL).
The Storm (4-6) will now prepare for their match against Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL). The Flying Geese enter the Lincoln Trail match with a 9-1 record. In their last match, Wethersfield notched a victory over Newman Central Catholic (Sterling, IL), 2-0, in a non-league match.
