In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Wayne Hills Patriots volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Clifton Mustangs.

The Patriots (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Passaic Valley (Little Falls, NJ). The Hornets come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Passaic Valley edged Eastside (Paterson, NJ), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Mustangs play the Passaic Indians (Passaic, NJ) in a North Jersey Tri-County B challenge, on Wednesday, September 11. Clifton will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to DePaul Catholic (Wayne, NJ).
