Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Marquez Gladiators (Huntington Park, CA) and the host Hamilton Yankees (Los Angeles, CA), observed Marquez's volleyball team top Hamilton by a tally of 3-1.

The Gladiators (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Elizabeth (Cudahy, CA). The Bulldogs enter the Southern contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Elizabeth was beaten by South East (South Gate, CA), 3-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Yankees meet the Palisades Dolphins (Pacific Palisades, CA) in a Western contest, on Thursday, September 12. Hamilton will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Dolphins enter the contest with a 6-4 record after their 3-0 league loss to Venice (Los Angeles, CA).
