Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Rhea County Golden Eagles (Evensville, TN) and the host Meigs County Tigers (Decatur, TN), observed Rhea County's volleyball team top Meigs County by a tally of 2-0.

The Golden Eagles (10-12) will now prepare for their contest against CSTHEA (Chattanooga, TN). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 13-5 record. In their last contest, CSTHEA beat Knoxville Trailblazers (Knoxville, TN), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Tigers meet the Stone Memorial Panthers (Crossville, TN) in a non-league contest, on Monday, September 9. Meigs County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Panthers enter the contest with a 8-5 record after their 3-0 league win over Watertown (Watertown, TN).
