The Scott Eagles (Covington, KY) volleyball knocked off the visiting Newport Wildcats (Newport, KY), 3-0 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Eagles now possess a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Boone County for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 11. Scott will clash with a Rebels team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Campbell County (Alexandria, KY). The Rebels record now stands at 3-12.

With the loss, Newport moves to 0-8 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Highlands (Fort Thomas, KY) to face the Bluebirds in a District 36 game on Tuesday, September 10. The Bluebirds go into the game with a record of 4-2. Highlands won 3-1 in their recent non-league game against Dixie Heights (Edgewood, KY)
