New Mexico High School Football - Cibola tops Valley

The Cibola Cougars football squad scored 20 points and limited the host Valley Vikings to 6 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Cougars now hold a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Mesa for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 16. Cibola will play a Mustangs team coming off a 30-6 non-league win over Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 1-1.

The Vikings (0-2) will now prepare for their challenge against St. Pius X (Albuquerque, NM). The Sartans go into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, St. Pius X toppled Valencia (Los Lunas, NM), 50-0, in a non-league challenge.
