Payson Longhorns (Payson, AZ) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they observed their volleyball team overcome the host Odyssey Institute Minotaur (Buckeye, AZ), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Longhorns (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against San Tan Foothills (Queen Creek, AZ). The Sabercats enter the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record.

Next, the Minotaur meet the Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league test, on Friday, September 12. Odyssey Institute will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Lions go into the test with a 0-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Salpointe Catholic (Tucson, AZ).
