In Tuesday's non-league outing, the host Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 3-0 win over the Blackman Blaze.
The Golden Eagles (5-2) will now prepare for their outing against Columbia Central (Columbia, TN). The Lions come into the AAA District 6 test with a 7-1 record. In their last test, Columbia Central edged Warren County (McMinnville, TN), 9-0, in a league test.
The Blaze now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Rockvale for a AAA District 8 test on Thursday, September 11. Blackman will clash with a team coming off a 2-1 league loss to Siegel (Murfreesboro, TN). The record now stands at 5-3.
