Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the University Prep Panthers (Redding, CA) and the host Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA), observed University Prep's volleyball team hold off Gridley by a count of 2-1.

The Panthers (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Foothill (Palo Cedro, CA). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Foothill was tipped by West Valley (Cottonwood, CA), 2-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Bulldogs battle the Pierce Bears (Arbuckle, CA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 12. Gridley will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record.
