Illinois High School Volleyball - Meridian over Riverton

Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Meridian Hawks (Macon, IL) and the visiting Riverton Hawks (Riverton, IL), observed Meridian's volleyball team top Riverton by a count of 2-0.

The Hawks (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Nokomis (Nokomis, IL). The Redskins enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Nokomis was knocked off by Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IL), 2-1, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Hawks meet the Tri-City Tornadoes (Buffalo, IL) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, September 13. Riverton will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Tornadoes enter the contest with a 4-2 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL).
