The Mankato West Scarlets soccer squad scored 1 points and held the visiting Austin Packers to 0 in the Scarlets non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Scarlets now hold a 3-3 record. They play next when they host Mankato East for a Class A Section 2 bout on Saturday, September 13. Mankato West will play a Cougars squad coming off a 2-2 non-league Century (Rochester, MN). The Cougars record now stands at 2-3.
The Packers (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Owatonna (Owatonna, MN). The Huskies enter the non-league game with a 3-2 record. In their last challenge, Owatonna nudged Winona (Winona, MN), 4-3, in a non-league challenge.
