Kentucky High School Soccer - Boyd County nudges Ironton

In Tuesday's non-league outing, the host Boyd County Lions soccer squad scored a tight 1-0 victory over the Ironton Fighting Tigers.
The Lions (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Blazer (Ashland, KY). The Tomcats come into the District 63 test with a 3-7 record. In their last test, Blazer was tipped by Spring Valley (Huntington, WV), 4-3, in a non-league test.
The Fighting Tigers now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wellston for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 16. Ironton will clash with a Golden Rockets team coming off a 14-1 non-league loss to Belpre (Belpre, OH). The Golden Rockets record now stands at 0-8.
