Covenant Day Lions (Matthews, NC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Providence Day Chargers (Charlotte, NC), 6-0 in a league test.

With the triumph, Covenant Day moves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Lions host Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC) to clash with the Mavericks in a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. The Mavericks come into the test with a record of 6-1. Marvin Ridge lost 2-0 in their recent non-league test against Providence (Charlotte, NC)

The Chargers now have a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host Charlotte Country Day School for a NCISAA Charlotte test on Thursday, September 11. Providence Day will clash with a Buccaneers team coming off a 5-4 league win over Cannon (Concord, NC). The Buccaneers record now stands at 5-4.
