The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) and the host Walker Wolverines (Marietta, GA), observed Mount Vernon's softball team prevail over Walker by a tally of 11-0.

The Mustangs (13-0) will now prepare for their bout against Westminster (Atlanta, GA). The Wildcats go into the non-league bout with a 6-7 record. In their last bout, Westminster was routed by St. Francis (Alpharetta, GA), 6-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Wolverines clash with the Landmark Christian War Eagles (Fairburn, GA) in a 1A D-I Region 5 bout, on Thursday, September 11. Walker will attempt to advance on its 3-6 season record. The War Eagles enter the contest with a 1-11 record after their 15-0 league loss to Mount Paran Christian (Kennesaw, GA).
