Colorado High School Volleyball - Montezuma-Cortez Bayfield

September 9, 2025: Cortez, CO 81321

Bayfield Wolverines (Bayfield, CO) followers left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Montezuma-Cortez Panthers (Cortez, CO), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Wolverines (5-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Alamosa (Alamosa, CO). The Mean Moose come into the 3A Intermountain challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Alamosa beat Delta (Delta, CO), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Panthers play the Pagosa Springs Pirates (Pagosa Springs, CO) in a 3A Intermountain test, on Saturday, September 13. Montezuma-Cortez will attempt to advance on its 6-5 season record. The Pirates go into the test with a 2-6 record after their 3-2 non-league win over Del Norte (Del Norte, CO).
