In Tuesday's league challenge, the visiting Hayfield Vikings volleyball squad scored a tight 3-2 win over the Blooming Prairie Awesome Blossoms.
Next up, the Vikings face the Fillmore Central Falcons (Harmony, MN) in a non-league game, on Thursday, September 11. Hayfield will attempt to advance on its 2-3 season record. The Falcons go into the game with a 7-2 record after their 3-0 league win over Cotter (Winona, MN).
The Awesome Blossoms (0-6) will now prepare for their game against Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton (Janesville, MN). The Bulldogs go into the Gopher game with a 0-6 record. In their last game, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton was edged by Bethlehem Academy (Faribault, MN), 3-2, in a league game.
