The Quitman County Hornets topped the visiting Calhoun County Cougars volleyball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Tuesday's league game.

Next up, the Hornets confront the Stewart County Royal Knights (Lumpkin, GA) in a 1A Area 1 game, on Tuesday, September 9. Quitman County will attempt to advance on its 2-2 season record. The Royal Knights go into the game with a 0-2 record after their 2-0 league loss to Taylor County (Butler, GA).

The Cougars (0-7) will now prepare for their game against Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA). The Red Devils go into the 1A Area 1 outing with a 0-3 record. In their last outing, Randolph-Clay was topped by Chattahoochee County (Cusseta, GA), 2-0, in a league outing.
