Fans at Tuesday's non-league test between the Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) and the host Chalmette Owls (Chalmette, LA), saw Newman's volleyball squad achieve victory over Chalmette by a score of 3-1.

With the win, Newman improves its record to 5-1 on the season. The Greenies host Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA) to face the Green Wave in a non-league test on Thursday, September 11. The Green Wave go into the test with a record of 2-1. Ponchatoula won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA)

The Owls now own a 3-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy for a non-league test on Wednesday, September 10. Chalmette will meet a Swamp Owls team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA). The Swamp Owls record now stands at 3-0.
