Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Jefferson Lions (Jefferson, OR) and the visiting Toledo Boomers (Toledo, OR), observed Jefferson's volleyball team top Toledo by a count of 3-1.

The Lions (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Santiam Christian (Corvallis, OR). The Eagles go into the 3A PacWest battle with a 1-2 record.

The Boomers now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Neah-Kah-Nie for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 11. Toledo will encounter a Pirates squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Yamhill-Carlton (Yamhill, OR). The Pirates record now stands at 2-3.
