Ohio High School Volleyball - Maplewood tips Mathews

September 9, 2025: Cortland, OH 44410

In Tuesday's league test, the host Maplewood Rockets volleyball squad scored a tight 3-2 win over the Mathews Mustangs.

With the win, Maplewood advances its record to 7-1 on the season. The Rockets travel to Grand Valley (Orwell, OH) to face the Mustangs in a Northeastern test on Thursday, September 11. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 7-3. Grand Valley won 3-0 in their recent league test against Bloomfield (North Bloomfield, OH)

The Mustangs now sport a 2-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Badger for a Northeastern test on Thursday, September 11. Mathews will face a Braves squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to St. John (Ashtabula, OH). The Braves record now stands at 5-5.
