Basketball Recap: Monticello Takes a Loss

Monticello lost against Dermott back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Monticello Billies took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dermott Rams.

Monticello's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Dermott, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monticello will host Hamburg at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Monticello is facing Hamburg at the right time seeing as Hamburg is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Dermott, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Brinkley at 7:00 p.m. Brinkley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matchups -- so hopefully Dermott likes a good challenge.
