Recap: Brown County Eagles vs. Cascade Cadets
The Brown County Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. The matchup between Brown County and Cascade wasn't particularly close, with Brown County falling 59-44. Brown County has struggled against Cascade recently, as their matchup on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Cascade's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Liviair Campbell led the charge by scoring 17 points along with five rebounds. Campbell continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Chloe Smith was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds.
Brown County bumped their record down to 9-10 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Cascade, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-10.
Brown County and North Putnam will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully North Putnam focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Saturday. As for Cascade, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bethesda Christian at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Bethesda Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
