Game recap: Norman North High School Football Team defeats Southmoore

MOORE, Okla. - Norman North (Norman, Okla.) extended its winning streak to eight games with a 21-6 victory over Southmoore (Moore, Okla.) on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Jordan Evans in the second quarter, the Timberwolves led 14-6 at the half.

Norman North expanded its lead to 15 points entering the fourth quarter. NN's lone score in the quarter came on a Jaxon Uhles touchdown run.

Evans stood out for the Norman school in the win. The senior ran for one touchdown. He has now scored seven touchdowns on the season.

The SaberCats' lone touchdown came on a run in the second quarter.



The Timberwolves went into the matchup giving up only 16.6 points per game. The six points that Southmoore ended with were well below its average of 40.3 coming into the game.

The defeat comes as a step back for Southmoore, which notched a 44-14 victory over Mustang in its previous outing. The loss snapped SHS's 2-game winning streak.

The Moore school (7-4) will play a playoff game against Norman North next week. The Timberwolves enter the contest having posted a 9-1.
