Beaver Local took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Minerva Lions with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Beavers in their matchups with the Lions: they've now won seven in a row.

Beaver Local never let Minerva on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-22, 25-21.

Perri Gilson was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had six digs and two aces. Those two aces gave her a new career-high.

Minerva's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Beaver Local wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Edison on the 21st. As for Minerva, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Steubenville on the 21st.
