Softball Recap: Iowa-Grant Takes a Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Iowa-Grant couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Fennimore Golden Eagles by a score of 6-5 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Iowa-Grant saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Klaas, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. Klaas is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Iowa-Grant moved to 21-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Fennimore, their win was their 13th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-7.
