Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Canyon del Oro). They put the hurt on the Maricopa Rams with a sharp 14-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was nothing new for the Dorados as they're now sitting on six straight.

Canyon del Oro got a great performance from Regen Mazura as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Mazura has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Francisco Rivero was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. David Adams was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Canyon del Oro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Canyon del Oro's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Maricopa, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.
