Volleyball Recap: Oakmont Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bear River, Oakmont was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Marysville Indians 3-0. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Vikings as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-9, 25-15.

Matthew Fulton was the offensive standout of the matchup as he had six aces and one assist. Those six aces gave him a new career-high.

Fulton wasn't the only good server: Oakmont was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. The Vikings are 6-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Oakmont's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Marysville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Oakmont is set to take on their familiar foe Wheatland at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Marysville will square off against rival Bear River at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
