Basketball Recap: Jamestown Eagles vs. Grafton Clippers
Jamestown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 53-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grafton Clippers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Eagles have suffered since January 5, 2024.
Jakobe Brownlee was his usual excellent self, putting up 24 points for Grafton. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Tisdale, who posted eight points.
Jamestown's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Grafton, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles duke it out with the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Grafton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
