Marlington waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. Everything went their way against the Salem Quakers as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on September 4th.

Marlington never let Salem on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-11, 25-18.

Danica Sarchione paced Marlington's offense, picking up 21 kills. Sarchione got some help from Cali Young and her 38 assists. Chloe Evanich and Giana Bogunovich kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Marlington's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Salem, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Marlington will take on New Philadelphia at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Salem, they will challenge West Branch at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
