Football Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sports Leadership & Management can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 33-0 loss at the hands of the Edison Red Raiders. Sports Leadership & Management has struggled against Edison recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Edison's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rakyia Louis, who threw for 214 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of her passes. Louis is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as she's now passed for four or more in each of the last six games she's played. Malayisa David was Louis' top target, picking up 86 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Sports Leadership & Management's loss dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Edison, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-1.

Sports Leadership & Management does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Edison, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Florida State University High School at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Raiders are on a four-game streak of home wins, the Seminoles a five-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
