Volleyball Recap: Raleigh Charter Wins Going Away Against Triangle Math & Science

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Franklin Academy, Raleigh Charter was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Triangle Math & Science Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Phoenix haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Raleigh Charter's got stronger as the match went on, holding Triangle Math & Science to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 25-14.

Shelby Payne had an outrageously good game as she had 14 assists and eight aces. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high. Kaylin Sheng was another key player, getting four digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Raleigh Charter was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 23 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive contests.

Raleigh Charter's record now sits at 3-15. As for Triangle Math & Science, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.

Raleigh Charter didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Roxboro Community on the 9th. Triangle Math & Science does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
