Baseball Game Preview: First Colonial Patriots vs. Landstown Eagles

First Colonial has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Landstown has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Patriots will welcome the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

First Colonial's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Southwest Guilford with a sharp 9-0 win.

Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last match, Landstown made sure to put some runs up on the board against Hedgesville on Monday. Landstown blew past Hedgesville 11-1.

Colin Kim and Jordan Hunt did most of the damage at the plate: Kim went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double, while Hunt went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. Kyle Flora was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

First Colonial has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Landstown, their win bumped their record up to 7-2.

First Colonial beat Landstown 10-5 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
