Volleyball Recap: Lemon Bay Takes a Loss

If Lemon Bay was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Southwest Florida Christian on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Manta Rays fell 2-0 to the Cardinal Mooney Cougars on Saturday.

Lemon Bay's offense was headlined by Kylie Jones and Lily Scheiber, who picked up three kills apiece. They got some help from Evelyn Swidrak and her seven assists.

Lemon Bay's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Cardinal Mooney, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.

Lemon Bay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Marco Island Academy on the 4th. As for Cardinal Mooney, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Fort Myers on the 4th.
