Recap: Perrin-Whitt Pirates vs. Forestburg Longhorns
The Perrin-Whitt Pirates lost against the Forestburg Longhorns back in November, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Perrin-Whitt lost to Forestburg on the road by a decisive 43-25 margin. Perrin-Whitt has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Forestburg to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jocelyn Rich, who scored 8 points along with 4 steals. Rich has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Braylee Briles was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Perrin-Whitt now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Forestburg, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Perrin-Whitt will head out on the road to face off against Community Christian at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Community Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Saturday. As for Forestburg, they will square off against Thackerville at TBD on Thursday.
