The Lutheran Mustangs will take on the Live Oak Classical Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lutheran is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

Lutheran is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Great Hearts Northern Oaks just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Griffins by a score of 12-11.

Louie Hoch was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Jack Fiorenza was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.

Hoch wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Lutheran kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Live Oak Classical came up short against Grapevine Faith Christian last Saturday and fell 4-1. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
