Volleyball Recap: Quitman Comes Up Short

Quitman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southeast Lauderdale Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2023.

Quitman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Southeast Lauderdale, they moved to 2-10 with that victory, which also ended their ten-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Quitman is set to face off against their familiar foe Pisgah at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Southeast Lauderdale will challenge rival St. Andrew's Episcopal at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
