Volleyball Recap: Maclay Finds Home Court Redemption Against Valwood

There's no place like home for Maclay, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Valwood Valiants by a score of 2-0 on Thursday.

While Maclay won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-18.

Maclay found their leader in freshman Finley Cutcliffe, who had 20 assists and two aces.

Maclay's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Valwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Looking ahead, Maclay will be playing at home against North Florida Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Valwood, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Valdosta on the 28th.
