Baseball Recap: Leonia Comes Up Short

Leonia was the 10-0 winner over Hasbrouck Heights when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions lost 15-3 to the Aviators on Tuesday.

Leonia's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the losses came by an average of only 3.75 runs. As for Hasbrouck Heights, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Leonia will head out to square off against North Arlington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hasbrouck Heights, they will take on Dumont at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
