Baseball Recap: Ramsay Takes a Loss

Ramsay saw some tournament action on Monday. They came up short against the Ariton Purple Cats, falling 9-3. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carter Mosley made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Pierce Alexander, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run.

Ramsay's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Ariton, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coincidentally, Ramsay and Ariton will both be playing Chelsea the next time they take the field. The Purple Cats will host the Hornets at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, while the Rams will head out to face them at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
