West Bloomfield had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it six on Wednesday. They never let the Avondale Yellowjackets get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory. The matchup marked the Lakers' most dominant win of the season.

CHARLIE BOWER was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, MORGAN CHRISTIAN was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. ASHLEIGH MCGUIRE was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

West Bloomfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .897. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

West Bloomfield's victory bumped their record up to 10-21. As for Avondale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-20-1.
