Football Game Preview: Sherman Oaks CES Knights vs. USC Hybrid Trojans + Official Tickets

The Sherman Oaks CES Knights will face off against the USC Hybrid Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Sherman Oaks CES has nine straight victories, USC Hybrid has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Thursday, Sherman Oaks CES made easy work of East Valley and carried off a 38-12 win. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Daniel Truong was his usual excellent self, rushing for 161 yards and a pair of TDs on only nine carries, while also picking up 72 receiving yards. He really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 72 yards. William Arias was another key player, throwing for 300 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sherman Oaks CES was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 421 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Sherman Oaks CES' defense stepped up as well, laying out Giovanni Torres six times. It was truly a group effort as Pablo Caballeros, Nick Fuss, and Jacob Ashikian picked up two apiece. Ashikian is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, USC Hybrid was beaten by Animo Robinson 68-6 on Friday.

Sherman Oaks CES' victory bumped their record up to 9-0. As for USC Hybrid, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Sherman Oaks CES against USC Hybrid in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 58-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
