Basketball Recap: Lordsburg Takes a Loss

Lordsburg suffered their biggest loss since December 2nd on Tuesday. They came up short against the Cobre Indians, falling 62-42. The Mavericks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Indians earlier this season, when they won 51-33.

Lordsburg now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Cobre, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Lordsburg will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Reserve at 1:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. As for Cobre, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Animas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Animas' defense has only allowed 28.1 points per game this season, so Cobre's offense will have their work cut out for them.
